EOFY Breakfast Highlights

Insights, Action, and a Call for Early Intervention

It was a pleasure to host our B&T Advisory EOFY Breakfast, which brought together an impressive line-up of professionals from the insolvency, turnaround, and legal sectors.
Alongside our friends at The Coffee Commune, the event provided an opportunity for open and honest conversations about the challenges facing both small businesses and listed companies. With interest rates remaining high and consumer confidence dipping, many business owners are finding themselves under growing strain.
Expert panellists explored the factors behind this rising distress, from shrinking household spending to industry-wide cash flow issues. They also shared clear, actionable advice:
  • How to spot the warning signs early
  • What directors need to know about their legal obligations
  • And how to handle the personal stress that often accompanies tough decisions.
“Too often we see directors waiting until it’s too late; however, early action opens up options. It can mean the difference between saving a business and closure.”
Panellist Peter Biazos, Director of B&T Advisory.
Thank you to the other experts on our panel:
  • Glenn Caligaris from McInnes Wilson Lawyers
  • Hank de Jonge from de Jonge Read & Associates
  • Phillip Di Bella (Facilitator) from The Coffee Commune
And a special thank you to our guests, who not only engaged in a robust discussion but also helped support our community partner, the Carnelian Foundation, which provides vital support for children impacted by domestic violence and mental health challenges.  Thanks to the generosity of our guests, over $4,000 was raised for the Foundation.
